Changing Targets Media has added a high profile U.S. Senate candidate to its client list, signing on to assist Arkansas Lieutenant Governor Bill Halter in his Democratic primary challenge to Senator Blanche Lincoln. The Washington, D.C.-based firm will work hand-in-glove with campaign staff and the rest of the consultant team—including prominent media consultant Dawn Laguens of LKK Partners—providing one-of-a-kind research identifying media buys that are targeted, efficient and effective.
The Halter campaign, which is capturing national attention, expects to benefit from Changing Targets Media’s unique technology that applies microtargeting strategies to all aspects of the campaign, including mass media. “We are very pleased to have Changing Targets Media on our team,” said Carol Butler, a spokesperson for the Halter campaign. “We know that we have a winning message here in Arkansas, but we have to get that message out to as many voters as we can in a very short time, and as cost effectively as possible. That is a special expertise of Changing Targets Media.”
Since the firm’s founding at the end of 2008, Changing Targets Media has worked on more than 40 campaigns across the country, including primary elections, special elections, general elections, legislative advocacy campaigns, independent expenditures, and ballot initiatives. The firm stands at the forefront of targeting strategy, offering a data-driven approach that helps campaigns reach persuadable voters through the most cost-effective form of communication.
The Halter campaign continues Changing Targets Media’s involvement in prominent races with national impact. The contest between Halter and Lincoln is pitting the Party establishment, many of whom support Lincoln, against Democratic activists who are energetically behind Halter’s bid to unseat her. “We’re excited to be playing a role in one of the most fascinating and consequential elections this year,” said Amy Gershkoff, Managing Partner of Changing Targets Media. “In tight races like this, the outcome often comes down to targeting strategy, which is exactly where we can provide the Halter campaign with a key advantage.”
